As a resident of Sammamish for over two decades, My Neighborhood Buddy’s founder, Mary Hanke had been pet sitting for friends and neighbors for years, prior to formalizing her business in 2006.   My Neighborhood Buddy (MNB) is licensed with both the City of Sammamish and the State of Washington and currently serves the Sammamish area and adjacent neighborhoods in Redmond, Issaquah and Bellevue, with  exceptional care and attention to detail.

My Neighborhood Buddy has full home and pet sitting insurance coverage, is bonded, and is a member in good standing with Pet Sitters Associates, LLC - a national trade organization. Also, the founder’s daughter (who is pictured on the home page attending to her first pet sitting assignment - her two Yorkies) assists when needed.  Both mother and daughter have been certified in Pet First Aid by the Red Cross and have had decades of experience providing care to dogs, cats, birds and animals of all kinds.
